Stalkers and their pray - from Georgia Straight E-mail

According to Georgia Straight (Vancouver local newspaper), nine percent of Canadians have been stalked in recent years.

That's amazing. It sums up to be 2.3 million people who have been stalked in the past few years. You can find the full article here.

Apparently no one knows exactly what intrigues an individual to stalk someone else. However, clearly most victims are female. Women Against Violence Against Women organization -- note that this organization doesn't apparently care about violence against men! -- says that it is the sense of possession of men over their ex-partners or friends that drives them to stalking their ex-girlfriends and wives, while J. Reid Meloy, professor of psychiatry at the University of California, believes that female stalkers are "creatively aggressive in more covert ways" than male counterparts. Also, they found that female stalkers usually threatened violence, and the ones that did were likely to be violent; especially toward a male friend who they were intimate with.

Now I wonder, amongst this 2.3 million stalked people, is there any stalker? Is it possible that a stalked also stalks? 2.3 million is a lot of people!
