Autumn is here and Vancouver is becoming what it is meant to be. Rainy, gloomy, overcast and relatively warm (compare to the rest of the country). That's how I will always remember her, and (don't call me crazy) but that's how I learned to love this city. That's how I have lived and loved it for the past 10 years.

You wanna see Vancouver, you gotta see the movie called The Bliss. You shouldn't let the story line come in your way of seeing the scenary. You can fast forward those parts. Actually I recommend watching the whole movie in mute. Well, may be that's too much.

Anyway, there is something romantic about this kind of weather. I am not sure how to put my finger on it, but there is something about it. May be I just like it because of my memories that I had in this weather, like the dates I had with my wife (girlfriend back then) that induces these feelings in me. Whatever it is, I came to love this city the way it was.

I have a little confession to make. Sometimes I think, there has been a little bit too much sunshine in the past two summers. When there is too much sunshine in Vancouver, something weired happens; as if a wave of Californication fever hits the city. You will hardly find a young girl that doesn't look like she has spent three days in a bakery oven! Everyone of them looks liked they have fake-and-baked. For a city that used to have nine months of rain, and occasionally snow, it is a bit unusual for a lot of people to look like they live in Hawii, don't you think?

I think these excessive sunny days are due to global warming. Some appreciate it, but I think it is changing the feel of this city. Sadly, it might change it to this phony fake-and-bake (may be fake-everything) look and feel that I don't like. Whatever it is going to be, this is going to be my city.
