How Facebook is run E-mail

An article appeared on Slashdot referring to how Facebook is run. If I had a company that had no product, and no specific content (Facebook content is made by users) and still it was worth billions; then I would actually hire a bunch of managers to fan the developers whole day, and give them massages and bring us coffee!

Basically in my hypothetical company, managers would be butlers and we select by committee a developer to lead a project. Wouldn't that be more productive? We will eventually find the best leader by trial and error.

Here is my proof that non-technical managers never contributed anything productive to the society: Dilbert Priciple

Yes, I am quoting Dilbert. If a high-tech company expects that a bunch of engineers standing in a circle and someone taking attendance would help completion of a project, then Dilbert is quite relevant.
